Kungsleden winter thru-hike gear list for me and my 2 dogs

Writer's picture: Maiu LünekundMaiu Lünekund

At the end of March 2022 I started my biggest adventure to-date: a 460km long thru-hike of the Kunglseden (Kings Trail) in North of Sweden. It took us 26 days to complete, including 4 rest days and sleeping both in a tent and in mountain huts.

I was on skis and skiing behind the sled that my two sled dogs - Linkka and Odezza - pulled. So you will see some specific gear related to this setup. The sled and the gear weighed all together about 30kg (base weight). Our fully loaded sled (with 7 days worth of food and fuel) was about 50kg.
